Starting a Movement

Welcome - we're thrilled to have you here. We are the Hopeful Dads, a same-sex couple from the US who have embarked on a long, largely untold journey to create a family. We began this journey nearly 10 years ago, and we're still waiting. We've explored every option, from adoption to surrogacy. Although we haven't lost hope, we've discovered new ways to manage our expectations and cope with the pain we've experienced over the past decade.

As we embarked on this journey and our story became more intricate, we discovered a significant lack of support specifically aimed at the same-sex community and those whose path to parenthood has been anything but straightforward. This is more than just a website or a heartwarming story—it's a community. A community of individuals sharing the hope that one day, their dreams of becoming parents will be realized; a community of people who have "trusted" a process not designed for them, often resulting in heartbreak and disappointment; a community of resilient individuals who could have given up but chose to persevere. Whether you are just contemplating starting a family, are on day one, or approaching day 3250 (like us), this is a safe space. A space to learn, to grow, and to wait—with love—for your dream to come true.
