Hello
Welcome to my world! I'm Matt Reiser, mergers and acquisitions consultant by day and a self-taught chef and avid traveler by night. With my passport in hand spanning over 35 countries across 6 continents, my desire for global adventure knows no bounds.

My path to parenthood hasn't been easy, struggling with setback and addiction along the way. That said, I'm happily living in recovery and seeing the promises of a better life coming true every day.

Join me as I share my journey of resilience from overcoming challenges to embracing parenthood all while blending my passions for cooking and exploration. I'm most excited to share these passions with my future child.

In hope,
Matt
My Story
Born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, Canada, I grew up with one half-brother, two half-sisters, and am now a proud "Guncle" to my two beloved nieces. My academic journey took me to the Alberta School of Business in Edmonton, where I studied Small Business & Entrepreneurship. With a decade of experience in the sector, I moved to the U.S. in 2010 to further my career in oil and gas. In 2016, I transitioned into consulting, specializing in large-scale mergers and acquisitions with a focus on technology enablement and transformation. Beyond my professional life, I am a self-taught chef and the proud Executive Chef and Blogger of The Homemade Chef. My passion for travel has taken me to over countries, with recent adventures in Africa, Spain, France, and my favorite destination, Italy. Each journey inspires my understanding of diverse cultures and drives my love of cooking; I love exploring local supermarkets to bring new flavors and techniques into my kitchen.

My story is less one about perfection, and more so one of resiliency and hope. Through my struggles with addiction to our challenges with family-forming, I'm living proof that sometimes, being willing to be willing offers enough hope to make a meaningful impact on your life. The key to success is the quiet voice in your mind that tells you "keep going."
